Joanna Podolska
Joanna Podolska is a Polish journalist and social activist. Graduate of Polish Philology and Theater Studies at the University of Lodz.
Joanna Podolska is also the director of the Marek Edelman Dialogue Center in Lodz, an institution aimed at commemorating and promoting Jewish heritage in Lodz, and the organizer of the Lodz of Many Cultures Festival, which is one of the most important cultural events in the city.
Her work on behalf of the memory of Jewish heritage has earned her many prestigious awards and honors. Awarded m. in. With the badge “For services to the city of Lodz,” the Medal of the 50th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, and the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Rebirth of Poland. Its activities are an invaluable contribution to the preservation and promotion of Lodz’s multicultural heritage.
